It’s an informal talk session which brings to light new information about California communities\, the job market\, and tips and insights from attendees. Feel free to ask questions\, share answers or just soak up the information. Both are correct. \nQ: So when did this meaning come about?\nA: Etymology Online describes the use of the “grapevine telegraph” as “a secret source of information and rumor in the American Civil War”.\nQ: But why a grapevine?\nA: It is related to Samuel Morse’s invention of the telegraph in the 1830s. As the system grew\, it meant thousands of miles of telegraph wire suddenly appeared – hanging a few yards up in the air\, suspended between poles placed at regular intervals.
