Sign Manufacturing Day October 2, 2015
Sign Manufacturing Day is a wonderful way to share the many exciting and diverse job opportunities that exist within our industry as well as showcase the importance of manufacturing to the US economy. Last year several participating companies were asked about jobs, internships and job-shadowing possibilities. Sign Manufacturing Day, held this year on Friday, October 2, is a way to engage students and teachers in the sign and visual communications industry, build awareness of the jobs and careers that are available within our industry and showcase the importance of manufacturing to the US economy. Nearly two dozen companies have already signed up, including two CSA member companies, Federal Heath and Signtech.

April 2015 Board Meeting Recap
The California Sign Association held a meeting of the Board of Directors on Friday, April 10th in Las Vegas, NV, in conjunction with the ISA Expo.
With generous attendance, business moved rapidly during the three-hour meeting. Some outcomes included a review of healthy financial statements; regulatory and local code highlights from legal counsel, Jeff Aran; discussion of record growth in CSA membership over the past 12 months; and a new participant in the Membership Pays program, Altec Industries, who joins Sherwin Williams and RNS Channel Letters with substantive savings and product incentives for CSA members only.

Reiff’s Antique Gas Station Museum Dinner Meeting
It is a no wonder that CSA members traveled from all directions to attend the dinner meeting and program March 26th in Woodland, CA. All twenty four people in attendance just loved the experience of visiting Reiff’s, as did the CSA group that visited the museum last year. To think that this endeavor didn’t start until fifteen years ago, the collection of old signs and 1950’s memorabilia assembled so far, is just amazing.
