CSA Education Committee: Advancing STEPS and Industry Standards

The CSA Education Committee has been actively working on implementing STEPS (Sign Training & Education Program Series), our strategic initiative designed to enhance skills, knowledge, and professional practices in California’s sign industry. The committee is steadily advancing toward full implementation.

Engaging the Next Generation

The committee recently took part in an event at San Diego City College, engaging students and faculty to introduce them to the signage industry. This effort helps introduce the next wave of skilled professionals joining the industry and boosts workforce development.

Advancing Standardized Engineering

Alongside STEPS, the committee is working on implementing Standardized Engineering (SE) practices. By promoting consistent engineering and design standards, CSA is helping members streamline estimating and permitting, reduce errors, and maintain high-quality signage across California.

The Education Committee continues to make steady progress on these initiatives, and we encourage members to participate by attending educational events and providing feedback to help shape the future of the California sign industry. Together, we are building a stronger, more skilled, and more connected community.
